Crestly is a fitness and lifestyle tracking app. This policy explains what data the app uses, where it is stored, and the limited cases in which any data leaves your device. Crestly is built to be private by default: your training, nutrition, supplement, and wellness logs stay on your iPhone.
Crestly does not create an account. We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or any login credentials. You can use the entire app without telling us who you are.
The following are stored only on your device using Apple's on-device database (SwiftData) and are never transmitted to us or sold to anyone:
You can export your full history at any time as JSON or Markdown, and you can delete your data from within the app. Because this data lives on your device, deleting the app removes it.
With your explicit permission, Crestly reads activity metrics from Apple Health (such as active energy, steps, exercise minutes, body weight, and heart rate) to show them alongside your training, and writes your completed workouts back to Apple Health as strength-training sessions. Health data stays on your device, is governed by Apple's Health permissions, is never used for advertising, and is never shared with third parties. You can revoke this access at any time in the iOS Health app.
Crestly is free and supported by occasional ads served through Google AdMob. To deliver and measure ads, the AdMob SDK may collect a device advertising identifier, coarse (region-level) location, and ad interaction data. This is the only component of the app that uses data for advertising.
When you scan a food barcode, Crestly sends only the barcode number to the Open Food Facts public database (openfoodfacts.org) to retrieve public product nutrition information. No personal data, account information, or device identifier is sent with the lookup.
The "Remove Ads" purchase is processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your payment details.
Crestly is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them.
If we change how the app handles data, we will update this page and the "Last updated" date above before the change ships in a new app version.
